Wellsradio, an online radio station based in Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria, was commissioned and dedicated on Monday, 20th November, 2017 at an impressive and colourful ceremony within the premises of the radio station (Wells Broadcasting House) located at Plot 13, Block 53, Alaafin Avenue, Oluyole Extension, Ibadan, beside Brooks Park Event Centre.

Speaking at the occasion, the Chief Executive Officer of the radio station, Mrs Lillian Bademosi stated that the station came into being as a result of years of deliberation on how to make a difference in the world of radio and television broadcasting through wholesome programmes for wholistic living. Wellsradio, according to her, intends to provide quality programmes that will impart our world positively through inspired content for purpose realization and fulfillment.
Mrs Bademosi, a former broadcaster with the Broadcasting Corporation of Oyo State (BCOS) Ibadan spoke with passion on the need for provision of an alternative platform for Nigerians and the world at large especially the younger and millennial generation to hear wholesome and edifying programmes through the radio instead of the run-of-the-mill gloom and doom that has characterized the airwaves. She revealed that the terrestrial arm of the station would soon follow.
Mr Yomi Davies, an ace broadcaster, spoke on the need for quality radio broadcasting and the effectiveness of the media in effecting a change in the desired direction and thanked Wellsradio team for taking up the challenge.
