The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), today, Tuesday, August 2, 2016, fixed August 20, 2016 for the conduct of by-election into Oorelope State Constituency in Oyo State. This was disclosed in Ibadan, the Oyo state capital by the Commission’s Head of Voter Education and Publicity in the state, Ayodele Folami
According to Folami, the by-election was necessitated by the death of Tunji Aremu, who was elected to represent the constituency in the state House of Assembly.
Speaking further, Folami added that political parties and security agencies in the state had been informed of the forthcoming poll.
He however urged voters in Oorelope Local Government Area to turn out enmasse to vote for candidate of their choice.
