A brand known as NEXT RATED STARS organised a talent show for youths... The popular multi-talented dance crew in Ibadan, THE CYMBALS also participated during this talent show programme after going through the right process by getting authorized forms to participate in the talent show.
The girls of cymbals dance crew won in the competition in the dance and make up categories. The organizers announce them as the winners but has refused to give them their cash prize of 250, 000 Naira each. The founder of cymbals dance crew has now taken time to express his feeling on this situation, with pictures and evidence below:
I think its time we involve the public in the mess we've been going through with the brand 'THE NEXT RATED STARS'.... which till date is yet to fulfill their part of the bargain by awarding to the respective winners the 250,000 "CASH PRIZE"
they promised from the inception of the competition..... my name is Agboola Olatundun Cymbals, founder of The Cymbals Dance Team & I write this with increasing hurt in my heart because I hate being cheated..... I went myself to collect 2 audition forms for my girls at A.Y COUTURE sango Ibadan.....(one for @adetouncymbals & the other for @dexmakeovers)... I joined @adetouncymbals for the auditions and left her to complete it because I had more important projects to attend to.... To cut the long story short @adetouncymbals and @dexmakeovers won in their different categories (Dance & Makeup) thus, making them winners of the previously promised 250,000 "CASH PRIZE" each... only for @thenextratedstars to bring up a contract agreement which wasn't stated from the inception of the competition....In the contract agreement, the winners are expected to come up with a business plan and sign they're agreeing to exchange their CASH PRIZE for something of equal or greater value & if the money is to be awarded which they didn't guarantee, all expenses will be determined and monitored by @thenextratedstars organizers... They are also expected to sign "the winner or anyone associated to him/her shall not post anything offensive on any social media platform about @thenextratedstars".... it even got to a point at one of the meetings they held after the winners emerged that they started questioning the fashion category winner if indeed she was convinced her entry at the final stage of the competition was worth claiming 250,000 "CASH PRIZE" (LOL) as well as letting the winners know if them as the sponsors cant drop the 250k "CASH PRIZE" then there's nothing the winners can do about it.....I have decided if they aren't willing to drop the 250k CASH PRIZE they promised from inception then they can hold everything or find other winners for the 'dance' and 'makeup' categories..... there's a probability the winners from the art,fashion & music categories have signed the agreement but as for me and my team - WE WILL NOT BE CHEATED !!!! .... To be honest the brand NEXT RATED STARS isn't worth the stress am putting myself through to communicate this to the public, but it really isn't about them.... I believe talented individuals should empower & inform each other... what I do, I do for all the talented individuals out there hustling back to back to meet ends meet & incase they're planning a season 3 and you see 250k "CASH PRIZE" per category,... very distinguished ladies and gentlemen, it is waaaaay deeper than what you see!!!! AND JUST THIS MORNING, THEY HAVE BEEN DISQUALIFIED JUST BECAUSE THEY WANTED THE CASH PRICE.
